Why do I have to sign up with Stripe? How do I do that?
Stripe is how payments work on our marketplace. You are not actually creating a Stripe account, but rather filling out your bank details in a secure Stripe form so you can receive your earnings.
For buyers: Pay by card. You can choose to save your card details on Next Rep. For sellers:
- Go to your Profile (you can find it on the top right corner of the homepage bar)
- Select "Payout Details" - you will be sent to a secure form on Stripe
- Choose account type (individual or business)
- Select Country
- Enter your info (often name, date of birth, address).
- If Stripe needs it, provide a tax number (like SSN or TIN). Stripe asks for details like an SSN or TIN because it needs to verify the person or business receiving money (this is called “know your customer” or KYC). This helps prevent fraud and meet financial rules for payment processing.
- Click complete
- Collect your $$$!
